NY’s Bear Mountain State Park
Fostering Collaboration and Innovation at the 1st Annual ADCNI Trainee Retreat
Our 1st Annual ADCNI Trainee Retreat was held this past week at the beautiful Bear Mountain Inn at NY’s Bear Mountain State Park. This was an amazing event where the Artis, Chang, Enamorado, Hu, Kim, Littman, Merad, and Naik labs all came together to share their latest work, exchange ideas, and firm up collaborations. The overall atmosphere of this 2-day event was one of excitement, intellectual stimulation, and forward-thinking innovation. We had immunologists being pushed to think deeply about neuroscience and vice versa. The projects were absolutely amazing, and included intravital functional imaging, vagus vs. DRG, skin, bladder, gut, lung, AAV, barcoding, iDISCO, and much more. Thanks to all the wonderful trainees from Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, Weill Cornell Medicine, NYU Langone Health, and Yale School of Medicine. Special thanks to The Paul G. Allen Frontiers Group and The Paul G. Allen Family Foundation for making this all possible. The synergy was palpable and this team is absolutely transforming biology and medicine as we know it through peripheral neuroimmunology
